Privacy policy
This policy explains what we collect when you use LoanGoose, what happens when you submit the matching form, and what you can ask us to do about it.
What we collect directly
Browsing the site does not require an account and does not ask you for personal information. If you submit the matching form, the information you enter is collected by our affiliate partner's form and transmitted to the partner network so that lenders and brokers can respond to your request. That information typically includes your name, contact details, province, the amount and purpose of the borrowing you are looking for, and employment or income details.
We use that information to operate the matching service. The partners who receive it become responsible for it under their own privacy policies, and their policies govern what they do with it. Read them before you submit a form.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are read and which are not. It records aggregate usage: pages viewed, approximate region, device type and how you arrived. It does not identify you by name to us, and we do not combine it with the information you enter into a matching form.
Affiliate links carry tracking parameters so that a partner can tell which page sent a click. That is how the commission model works, and it is why you may see parameters on a partner's address after clicking. We do not sell personal information to third parties, and we do not run a data brokerage.
Legal basis and retention
We process analytics data on the basis of our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the site. We process matching requests because you asked us to pass your request on. We keep analytics data for the retention period configured in our analytics property, and we keep correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the matter.
Your choices and rights
You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time, and you can use browser or network-level tracking protection without losing access to the content of this site. If you would like a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or you want it corrected or deleted, email hello@loangoose.ca.
Canadian privacy law gives you a right to access your personal information, to challenge its accuracy, and to withdraw consent for its use in some circumstances. Where you have submitted information through a partner's form, you may need to direct your request to that partner as well as to us.
Security and changes
The site is served over HTTPS and we keep the data we control to a minimum, which is the most reliable form of protection. If this policy changes materially, the effective date below changes with it.

Do I need an account to use LoanGoose?
No. Browsing, searching and using the calculators requires no account and no personal information.
Who receives my information if I fill in the form?
Our affiliate partner's network and the lenders or brokers in it who can respond to your request. They are responsible for their own handling of it under their own privacy policies.
How do I opt out of analytics?
Use your browser's cookie controls or a tracking-protection feature. The content and calculators will keep working.
