This page sets out the limits of what LoanGoose publishes, in one place, without the hedging that usually makes these pages useless.
We are not a lender
LoanGoose is a loan matching and comparison service. We do not make loans, we do not set interest rates, we do not decide who is approved, and we do not collect payments. We cannot tell you whether you will be approved, and we cannot change a lender's decision.
This is not advice
Everything on this site is general information about how borrowing products and rules work in Canada. It is not financial, legal, tax or accounting advice, and it is not tailored to your circumstances. No page on this site should be read as a recommendation to take, avoid, or restructure any financial product.
Decisions about borrowing, consolidation or insolvency can have long consequences. A licensed professional — an accountant, a lawyer, a mortgage broker, or a licensed insolvency trustee for debt relief — can look at your whole position in a way a website cannot.
Rate and figure caveats
Rules and benchmark rates change, and lenders set their own pricing. Any figure published here is attributed to a named publisher with the date it was in force. Where we could not verify a current figure against the publisher's own publication, the value is deliberately left blank rather than estimated.
Calculator outputs depend entirely on the numbers you enter and the assumptions stated on the calculator page. They are not quotes. The lowest rates are only available to the most qualified applicants.
No fabricated trust signals
We do not publish invented reviews, star ratings, testimonials, awards, author credentials, phone numbers or office addresses, and there are no customer ratings on this site because we do not collect them. If you see a claim like that on a comparison site, ask where it comes from.
Third-party content and links
Partner sites, lenders and regulators are independent of us. Their content, terms and practices are their own responsibility. Where we link to a regulator or publisher it is to attribute a figure, not to suggest that they endorse this site.
Can I rely on a figure on this site?
Use it as a starting point and confirm anything material with the publisher we link to. We attribute every value and show its date precisely so that you can check it.
Do you give financial advice?
No. We explain how products and rules work. We do not recommend products or tell you what to do.
