Corrections matter more than compliments on a site like this. If a figure is wrong, a rule has changed, or a link goes somewhere it should not, tell us and we will fix it.

Content corrections

If a published value is out of date or wrong, email us at hello@loangoose.ca with the page address and the publisher's own source for the correct figure. We update values by editing the site's data directly, so a correction does not require a rebuild.

Because every figure carries a publisher, a source URL and an as-of date, a correction is usually a one-line change to the data behind the page. We would rather be corrected than be confidently wrong.

Questions about a loan or an application

We cannot answer questions about a specific application, rate, balance or decision, because we are not the lender and we never see your file. Those questions belong with the lender or broker you applied through, and their agreement will set out how to reach them.

We also cannot give you financial advice about whether to borrow. Our guides explain how products work; they do not tell you what to do.

Complaints about a partner

Start with the partner's own complaint process, which their agreement must describe. If that does not resolve it, the right escalation depends on who regulates them: federally regulated financial institutions are handled by the Financial Consumer Agency of Canada, and most other lenders are licensed and supervised provincially.

You can also tell us, and we will review whether the partner should keep appearing on the site.

Privacy requests

Our privacy policy explains what we collect and why. If you want a copy of what we hold about you, or want it deleted, email us and we will respond within the period the law allows.

How quickly do you reply?

Content corrections are usually actioned within a few business days. Privacy requests and partner complaints may take longer because they need verification.

Can you tell me if I will be approved?

No. We are not a lender and we do not make credit decisions. Only the lender you apply to can answer that.
